The Yerba Mate La Merced Barbacua has been cultivated in a special is native to plantations of the northeast of Argentina. Its origins and the particular grinding process make of this a yerba with superior quality of limited production and a distinct taste.
La Merced Barbacua Is a yerba with stems, dried with an ancestral process inherited from the Guaranis. It consists in a slow, dedicated process in which the leaves are exposed to the heat of a wood fire for a whole day. This way the Yerba becomes a strong taste and slightly smoked.
The storage of La Merced Barbacua is also very particular. It is 12 months stored and this way it gains a particular aroma and color.
The yerba mate Merced Barbacua was distinguished with the quality Certificate: “Alimentos Argentinos, una elección natural” (Argentine food, a natural choice).
The Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food awarded Argentinean products which assure the highest quality requirements.
In order to keep the quality and taste, it is only commercialized in an exclusive construction paper package with a practical opening; protected inside by an airtight aluminized bag that keeps its unique characteristics intact.
