Brazilian Yerba Mate Colonial Chimarrao
This is a very coarsely ground mate in which the leaves make up around 65% and the coarse twigs 35%. The purest native to Brazil, yerba mate, where thanks to the coarse grinding it gives a basic and striking flavour.
According to the manufacturer Yacuy yerba mate is harvested from wild crops. The green infusion has a particularly pronounced flavour and quite strong stimulating properties. Its intense green colour is due to the fact that it is packed into bags immediately after harvesting and that the leaves are dried quickly, without any ageing stage. Erva can be infused up to a dozen times without experiencing a reduction in the intensity of the flavour. Chimarrao is suitable for beginner yerba lovers and has a delicate taste, not too bitter, unlike Argentinean or Paraguayan varieties.
