Spring Inspirations Yerba in Pastry

Our company's Chef Mr. Arek, brought a delicious cake today. The recipe included powdered yerba better known as Matcha Ceremonial. We encourage you to bake with yerba because not only do they have an exotic flavor, they can also be surprisingly colorful. In this case, we have as many as 3 colors in the babka. Ah pity that we do not have as the state with this delicious cake treat.

Recipe;

  • ingredients:
  • 5 eggs,
  • 250 g butter or margarine,
  • 1.5 cups of wheat flour,
  • 0.5 cups of potato flour,
  • 1 cup of sugar,
  • a packet of vanilla sugar or a teaspoon of vanilla essence,
  • orange peel
  • teaspoon of orange flavoring
  • juice of half an orange
  • 200 ml of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • spoonful of cocoa
  • spoon matcha ceremonial

method of implementation:

Cream the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Alternately add sifted flour mixed with baking powder and eggs constantly mixing with a mixer until you get a smooth paste.

Separate into 3 parts. To the first one, add orange peel flavoring and orange juice so that you get a mixture that is neither too diluted nor too thick. To the second one add cocoa and milk so that the density is similar to the first one. To the third one, add matcha and milk to get a density similar to the others. If too much liquid is added then add a little flour. Grease the mold and dust with flour, then pour the mixture into the mold. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and put in for an hour. In the meantime, under baking time, cut the top of the muffin to release excess gas from the dough. After baking, leave it to cool for a while.
